Mad PROPS

Recently I had the pleasure of attending the annual Full Sail PROPS ceremony, where we celebrate the outstanding contributions of our learning community. As part of the university culture, PROPS are submitted by students, peers, and supervisors to recognize members of the education team who best represent the principles of:

• Academic Innovation
• Community Involvement
• Creative Contribution
• Education Leadership

PROPS is play on the phrase "I give you mad props…" and all the aviation-themed analogies we throw around here at Full Sail.

At the ceremony this year, I received the Academic Innovation Award for my efforts teaching students in the online Media Communications Bachelor of Science Program and for my work with the RISE Model.

It was so humbling to hear about all the great things happening here at Full Sail and I feel privileged to work with so many talented and dedicated educators!
