Make Sense Media Mentern - Sarah Babbage

So proud of my number one mentern, Sarah “Big Brain” Babbage, on her graduation from Full Sail’s Media Communications Bachelor of Science program.

For the last few months Sarah and I have worked closely on a handful of projects designed to propel us both forward in personally and professionally relevant ways.

One of my greatest hopes in starting a menternship program was to offer ambitious young women real world opportunities and perhaps extend their skill sets into new and marketable areas.

Sarah is an ahhhmazing writer, but she’s so much more than that. In addition to always finding the right words, as a Make Sense Media mentern, she also tackled the following:

• Performed a detailed analysis of short format social content to identify posts could be expanded into full articles on the agency’s blog;

• Developed original content for the agency blog that focused on targeted areas of engagement; Updated the agency website using the Squarespace content management system;

• Optimized images titles and descriptions for SEO;

• Engaged in a collaborative content creation and editing process with agency principal;

• Co-authored article submissions for educational journals;

• Performed duties virtually with weekly check-ins; and

• Excelled with minimal supervision.

This mentern has left the nest and is flying toward new opportunities.
